Welcome! I’m Brent Reed, an organizational researcher and educator.

I’m an Assistant Professor of Psychological and Organizational Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where my research focuses on how individuals psychologically connect to their work and how those connections shape their thoughts, feelings, and actions. I am particularly interested in the unintended consequences of these experiences and how work spills over into our lives outside of work.

Drawing from a previous career in health care, my aims are to conduct research that makes a meaningful difference in people’s lives and to translate organizational science into conversations that resonate with decision-makers and the people they serve.
